Biography
Abdel Meguid Kassem is professor of Medicine and Gastroenterology at Cairo University, Egypt. He is the secretary general of the Medical Research Council, Academy of Scientific Research and Technology of Egypt and the supervisor of Science Technology and Medical Publishing Unit (STMPU), Ministry of Scientific Research, Egypt. Professor Kassem is also member of Education and Training Committee of World Gastroenterology Organization (WGO) and the coordinator of Gastroenterology Educational and Training Program, Learning Resource Center, Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University. He is the Editor in Chief of Arab Journal of Gastroenterology and member of the editorial board of ENDOSCOPY Journal, Framingham Hepatitis Journal and Cochrane Collaboration (Hepatobiliary Group). Professor Kassem is secretary General of African Middle East Society for Digestive Oncology, member of a number of international societies and has published many publications in peer reviewed journals.
Research Interest
Professor Kassem is currently involved in a number of scientific projects including East African Gastroenterology Training Center (Dar Essalam, Tanzania), Science, Technology and Medical Publishing Unit (Ministry of Scientific Research, Egypt) and Health Sciences Publishing Unit (Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University)
